Embrace the Chaos: Full Moon in Taurus, Friday, November 15, 2024

We have regained out fighting spirits to accomplish our goals since the New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st. However, as the Full Moon in Taurus approaches on Friday, November 15th at 4:28PM, we are feeling stuck and everything starts to feel wrong. We face sudden and unexpected events that will bring chaos into our lives. We have learned to act in a quicker, easier, more innovative and independent way, but this chaos may tempt us into regressing back to doing things the long and hard way - the "safe" way. Do not fall for it.

Picture a sturdy, ancient oak standing tall in a serene meadow—symbolizing stability, tradition, and the comforts of what we know (Taurus). Out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning (Uranus) strikes the tree, splitting it open. It’s shocking, unsettling, and impossible to ignore. For a moment, everything is chaos. The landscape feels unfamiliar, the air electric, and the ground unstable.

Yet, amidst the seeming destruction lies an opportunity. The lightning didn’t destroy the tree—it exposed its inner core, creating an opening for regeneration, growth, and transformation. The old tree is now transformed into a passionate energy source for magical wands. The strike forces us to reconsider what we rely on and invites us to adapt in ways we never imagined.

This metaphor captures the sudden, disruptive energy of Uranus conjunct the Moon, challenging Taurus’s steady nature. Mercury in Sagittarius opposing Jupiter in Gemini may feel like information overload or conflicting perspectives, asking us to zoom out and rethink our beliefs. Mars opposing Pluto at the critical degree of Capricorn could feel like an eruptive power struggle, yet it compels us to confront deep fears and patterns of control to make space for bold, authentic action (Mars in Leo). Venus squaring the nodal axis reminds us to align our values and relationships with our soul’s growth, even as it feels uncomfortable... letting go if necessary.

Like the lightning-struck tree, we’re called to face the weird and chaotic head-on, trusting that these disruptions are making space for profound innovation, healing, and new beginnings. Instead of fearing the storm, we are invited to embrace its transformative potential with courage, grace, and a sense of wonder.

Trust your intuition, your emotions and your instincts even if it does not seem logical. The crazy unexpected event that brings chaos might be financial or work related. It might be a health issue or an accident... It will be universal. People will be freaking out from feeling stuck and like everything feels wrong, and if they don't know that the unexpected event is coming and are not paying attention to their inner voice, they may become part of the chaos itself. Do not let them overwhelm you, confuse you or hold you back.

Give yourself space to breathe through any anxiety or overwhelm. Find your inner calm amongst the chaos. Meditation or spiritual practices will help ground you. Trust your gut. Try unique, innovative solutions. Do what is easier, shorter, quicker. You may experience an unexpected realization that there's a faster, easier, and more fun way to do things.

In all of the chaos, things may look weird and unfamiliar, but embrace the weird. Change is not necessarily the enemy. Don't stay stuck and just worry. Being worried may be your call to act. Do something about the thing you are worrying about. Take action to resolve it even if you land in a weird place. Follow through. Walk into the crazy thing. The chaotic weird place is where you will learn what you need to know. It is where you are meant to go. Don't let the chaos intimidate you.

Ellias Lonsdale wrote in his book, "Inner Degrees", for the 24th degree of Taurus where the Full Moon takes place while conjunct Uranus at the 25th degree:

" Taurus 24: ...The demands and rigors of this position and stance are so punishing and extreme you are so hard pressed, so rabidly attentive that nothing else exists. The assignment is clear, brutally so. Be on the spot at every level, maintain order, keep everything going and stay tuned to everything unusual or strange. Follow it out, keep it in your sights and make absolutely sure that you stay sober, integrity sworn and minutely diligent to hold the center and uphold the law with a steadfastness that is beyond belief and simply true."

This is alarming, I know, but hopefully, knowing its already in motion ahead of its arrival will stave off some of the shock for you. Whatever form the chaos takes, and it might be in several forms as people freak out around you, stay calm. Breathe. Trust yourself to handle it.

"Taurus 25: ...You are a vast world unto yourself, an extraordinary network of intersecting dynamics. But the witness consciousness is blissfully sitting back in a restful perch, letting everything go by. And in the very center of this dispassion and wakeful scrutinizing, one indwells a Buddha realization attained by hard work..."

Stay calm. Be sure to place boundaries for yourself and focus on creating discipline, structure and order for yourself. Have peace amidst the chaos and do the thing you need to do in the quicker, easier way you have been learning. Embrace the weird and unusual. Change is good. Trust your God and your gut. Walk through the Weird.
